Biography

Paul John Debues was baptized on April 24, 1771 at St. Matthew, Bethnal Green, Middlesex (now London), England. Paul John was the son of Paul and Mary Debues.

Paul John married Mary Ann McDonald on September 10, 1791 at St. Dunstan, Stepney, London, England. Marriage record: "Banns of Marriage between Paul Debues and Mary Ann McDonald were published August 14 : 21 & 28, 1791 Paul Debues of this Parish & hamlet [ ] Bachelor and Mary Ann McDonald of this same Parish & hamlet Spinster Married in this Church by Banns this Tenth Day of September in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-One By me Tho Thurlwall Min. This Marriage was solemnized between Us Paul Debues and Mary Ann McDonald In the presence of Paul Debues and Elizabeth McDonald."

Paul John and Mary Ann resided in Bethnal Green and had at least the following children: Elizabeth, Mary, Mary Ann, George Daniel, Esther, and Thomas.

Paul John passed away in July 1843 in Bethnal Green and was buried there on August 6, 1843. Mary Ann left a widow passed away only a few months later in this same year.
