Biography

Jeremiah Decker was the son of Captain Isaac Decker, the ferrymaster and tavern owner who was a Loyalist during the American Revolution[1]

The family immigrated to Shelburne, NS after the Revolution.

Jeremiah was later granted land in the Ragged Islands, now Lockeport, NS[2]

Likely around 1786, he married Johanna Steinmetz, and they had children, including[3]
