Jane, the third daughter and third of seven children of Joseph I. Decker (1773-1860) and Agnes Adams (1773-) was born on 22 March 1800 at Ulster, New York.[1]
Marriage and Children
Jane married Joseph H. Richardson, the son of John and Bethiah (Herrick) Richardson say 1873 at Dansville, New York. [Needs source]. They had ten children:

1850 and 1860 Census Records
In 1850, Jane (47 years0 and Joseph (56 years), employed as a carpenter in the construction industry were living at North Dansville, Livingston, New York with their children John W Richardson (19 years), Jane Richardson (16 years), Isabella Richardson (14 years), Martha Richardson (12 years), Alex F Richardson (10 years) and Johannah Richardson (8 years).[3]
The 1860 census indicates that Jane (56 years) and Joseph (59 years), occupation Carpenter were still residing at North Dansville, Livingston, New York with their children Alonzo Richardson (29 years), occupation Farm Laborer, Jane Richardson (26 years), Alexander Richardson (20 years), occupation Laborer, and Johannah Richardson (18 years). Death and Burial
Jane (Decker) Richardson died on 30 August 1860 in her 58th year at Dansville, New York and is buried in the Green Mountain Cemetery at Dansville, Livingston, New York.[5]
1855 Census gives birthplace as Livingston County.[7]
