Catharine was born in about 1903 in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Michael Decosmo and Antoinette Giacetti.^[1]

In 1910 Catharine (age about 7) was living in Hazleton Ward 14, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.^[1]
