The grandson of Emanuel, a Scottish Emigrant, Daniel was born about 1740 in the North Carolina Colony and Died between January and March of 1802. [1][2][3][4] He is listed on the 1790 Census and the Early Tax List.[5][6]

Note: Daniel is listed in the DAR Patriot Index - Centennial Edition. There are Army accounts at Raleigh that show he was a Revolutionary soldier. [7][8][9][10]

He left a Will dated January 8, 1802, and probated in Jefferson County, Georgia on March 1, 1802. In it he mentions his wife Elizabeth, sons Edmund, Drury, John, Hillaird and Daniel [11][12]

  • Paternal and Maternal relationships are both confident based on a triangulated group on MyHeritageDNA who share a 12.0 cM segment on chromosome 9, consisting of Audrey Lee Crockett and HM, her 6th cousin, and WPM, her 6th cousin 1x removed. (HM and WPM are 6th cousins 1x removed.) These matches have been independently verified by via the MyHeritage Chromosome Browser. Their most-recent common ancestors are Emanuel Dees and Elizabeth Price, the 5x great grandparents of both Audrey Lee Crockett and HM and 6x great grandparents of WPM.
