Pierre De La Fosse's baptism record from 9 August 1816 states he was born about 2 April 1813 to Pierre De La Fosse and Claire "Wayble" and his maternal grandparents being Joseph Wayble from Maryland and Mary Teyssin, a native to the area.[1] However, his father's marriage record and his succession record give his wife's maiden name as Lavigne. To see the variations in maiden names used for his mother, please see his father's profile. I don't know if this is the case here, but I've seen such confusion and discrepancies occur when the grandmother has remarried.
