Biography

Pierre De La Fosse's baptism record from 9 August 1816 states he was born about 2 April 1813 to Pierre De La Fosse and Claire "Wayble" and his maternal grandparents being Joseph Wayble from Maryland and Mary Teyssin, a native to the area.^[1] However, his father's marriage record and his succession record give his wife's maiden name as Lavigne. I don't know if this is the case here, but I've seen such confusion and discrepancies occur when the grandmother has remarried.
