Biography
Lars Mauritz was born 17 May 1810 to the violinist Pierre Deland and his wife Eva Magdalena Eklund.[1]
His father died in April 1818. From June 1818 to May 1824 his mother received an alimony of 12 Riksdaler per year on behalf of Lars Mauritz.[2]
In 1819 he lived with his widowed mother and two brothers.[3] In 1822 he was serving with the pastry baker Edlund.[4] In 1825 to 1829 he was with the grocer Lundgren.[5][6] In 1831 L. M. Deland was with another grocer in Stockholm Old Town.[7]
In 1832 Lars Mauritz Deland was an actor in the troupe of Christoffer Svanberg, together with his two brothers, Pierre and Fredrik. The Svanberg company arrived to Göteborg in March 1832. Lars Mauritz mostly appeard as a butler.[8]
The itinerant former actor Lars Mauritz Deland died from a stroke in the hospital in Umeå 6 October 1844.[9]
