Biography
Joseph was born Jul. 6, 1822, the son of Patrick Delaney and Mary Ryan. He was baptised in Margaree on Sep 3, 1822.[1]
In his marriage with Susanne Aucoin, on Feb 2, 1847 in Margaree, Nova Scotia, he is listed as the son of Patrice Delaney and Marie Ryan (deceased). She was listed as the daughter of Raphael Aucoin and Euphrosine Hachet.[1]
Their first child, Marie, was born in Bay St. George shortly after that, on Nov 11, 1847.[1]. The rest of their children were born and baptised in Sandy Point, Newfoundland.[2]
