Margaret Delano was born in 1773 in Tolland, Tolland, Connecticut [1]. She is a descendant of the Mayflower passenger Richard Warren. She is the Daughter of Jonathan Delano and Anne Ladd.

She married Samuel Ingalls in 1793 in Canada or Andover, Massachusetts, USA. [2]

Margaret had the following children:

  1. James Ingalls was born 1798 in Vermont. He died on 12 May 1865 and is buried in New Oregon Cemetery, Iowa.
  2. Hiram Ingalls was born in 1800,
  3. Aaron Ingalls was born on February 27, 1802,
  4. Benjamin Ingalls was born on October 18, 1804
  5. John W. Ingalls was born on December 31, 1806.
  6. Samuel Worthen Ingalls was born June 28, 1808 in Allegany County, New York. Samuel Ingalls died May 20, 1861 in Fairfield, Grundy County, Iowa. He married Unity Jackman.
  7. Lansford Whiting Ingalls was the last child born on November 12, 1812 in Canada. He died in 1896 in Pepin, Wisconsin.

Margaret died May 6, 1837 in North Cuba, Allegany, New York

She is buried in North Cuba Cemetery, North Cuba, Allegany, New York [3]
