"Lived at Mankato, Kas.". !Nov 1989 located Fanny and Horace Bagley in Brownville on Main Street in 1885 Census. Horace listed at 73 and Fanny at 66. Birth in Canada Father NY Mother VT. No children living at home. Fanny Married and "keeps house". !Nov 1989 spent part of a day looking for graves in Brownville, NE. There is no record of Fanny Delano, Fanny Wilcox, Fanny Waldo or Fanny or Horace Bagley in the Walnut Grove Cem in Brownville. Visited and looked at records of both the Caretaker and the Secty. !Spent time looking in Brownville because another Horace Bagley died in Lincoln 1914 at age 102 "oldest man in Lincoln" having lived there with daughter for 3 years. "The body will be taken to Brownville, NE for burial." Lincoln Star July 23, 1914 page 1 column 5. From this we concluded that Bagley's must have some connection with Brownville. After the cemetery search, now conclude that there must be another cemetery using Brownville as closest town and in use in 1914. !Visited with Harold Davis, Pres Brownville Hist. Society and also the secty of the Cem Assoc who was very friendly. We looked at 1885 census of Main Street. He was able to identify the Carson house as dwelling 217 which is near 3rd Street, Furnas house #223 as being between 2nd and 3rd street. Bailey #230 now the Brownville Museum between 4th & 5th, and Handley #233 as being near 8th street and burned (home of a druggist). !LOCATED GRAVE in Mount Hope Cemetery Jewell Co Kansas "Fannie Bagley died Nov 29, 1902 aged 84 yrs 1 mo. 4 days at rest" Caretaker is Melvin Peugh of Mankato KS.
