Biography

Anna (Delej) Deley has Slovak Roots.

Anna was born on 27 December 1897 in Tarnov, Bardejov, Prešov, Slovakia.[1]

She married Ján Cuper Delej on 12 February 1919 in Sveržov, Bardejov, Prešov, Slovakia.[2]

She immigrated to the United States and arrived at Ellis Island on 15 August 1923 on the Laconia.[3] She travelled with her daughter, Mary Agnes Deley.[4]

Her family settled in Braddock, Allegheny, PA, which is where they were living for the 1930 U.S. Federal Census.[5] By the 1940 U.S. Federal census, the family had moved to Swissvale, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.[6]

She died on 16 January 1998 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.[7] She was buried at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Braddock, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.[8]
