Biography

Rafael Delgado, also known as Rafael M Delgado, was born on 10 Mar 1912 in Texas. His parents were Manuel Delgado and Herminia Martinez.

The 1920 United States Census documented Rafael Delgado as the son of Manuel Delgado. He was seven (7) years old. His estimated birth year was 1913 and he was born in Texas. Event Date: Jan 22-25, 1920. Event Place: Part of Highland School District, Precinct 88, Bexar County, Texas.[1]

The 1930 United States Census cited Rafael Delgado as the son of Manuel Delgado Sr. He was 18 years old, single and born in Texas. His estimated birth year was 1912. Event Date: April 4, 1930. Event Place. Southton Road, part of Justice Precinct 7, Bexar, Texas.[2]

Rafael married Josefa Rodriguez. From this union they had four children: Rafael R Delgado, Domingo Delgado, Gloria Maria Delgado and George Delgado.

The 1940 United States Census recorded Rafael Delgado as the son of Manuel Delgado. He was 28 years old, married and born in Texas. Event Date: May 6, 1940. Event Place: Justice Precinct 6, Bexar County, Texas.[3]

On 18 May 1942 at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, Rafael enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was single, without dependents. His education level was grammar school and his civilian occupation was farmer. His serial number was 38158356.[4]

Rafael passed away on 13 Jun 1994 in Bexar County, Texas.[5] He was 82 years old.[6] He is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. Plot: 10, 0, 1341.[7]
