Biography

Mathurin was born about 1848. Mathurin Delherbe ... He passed away in 1926. [1] Matt's nickname was Grass. Which is what Herbe means in French. His parents were both born in France and they came over to New York in the early 1800's. They later moved on to New Orleans, where Matt was born. Matt married Margaret Buhr, known as Maggie, daughter of German immigrants. He was a street car driver and a gardener in his life time.
