Biography

S.M.H. Delong was 2 in 1861 and 21, a farmer, in 1881, both with his parents in Ameliasburgh Township. (He is not with the family in 1871.) In 1888 he is on Lot 82 of Concession 2 in Ameliasburgh. He died in 1899 and was buried in Albury Church Cemetery.

Footnote

Two discrepancies: 1. Although elsewhere he is "S.M.H. Delong," in the 1861 census it is clearly "S.N.H." 2. Other records are consistent with his birth around 1859, but the cemetery record has his death in 1899 at 29 years 9 months, or born around 1869.

I don't find him in 1871 or 1891 census records. ---R.S.P. 12/2018.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with S. by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with S.:
