This is the only child that was listed on any census records.
And he had a sister, Sarah Jane.........

Death

No record found, but according to the Book "DELPH" "he died 1908. and his wife Vina applied for CSA pension." but I am unable to pull it up with fold3...

Here is another William Delph born 1841 William son of Stephen and Susan living in Hancock County, Tennessee, however the family had moved to INDIANA by 1860 census... So this is not the CSA William... Because of the descendant that said William and his sons did not join, I have made a 2nd profile for the William P Delph who joined the 16th Tennessee CSA same day as a Ezekiel DELPH. so I will link and follow this Ezekiel and see what happened to him as well.

NOTE: Feb 9, 2017 Because the book "DELPH" by Laura Lee Moncrief does state and give SOURCES including the DNA testing I have changed the "MOTHER" to "Unknown" Her info does agree with what I had already found and entered here.
ALL of the DATA for the William Delph has been transferred to his new profile until it might be determined to be one/same....

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
