Barbara was born on March 1, 1856 in the village of Johannestal in the Beresan district of the Odessa area and Black Sea region of South Russia to Martin Delzer and Jakobina (Heinle) Delzer. She was the third of their 11 children. Barbara was baptized on March 4, 1856.[1]
Family
On February 20, 1879, at the age of 22, Barbara married Mathias Sailer (1855-1907) in Johannestal.[2]
On May 28, 1902, at the age of 46, Barbara, her husband, and 6 children, arrived in New York aboard the S.S. Kronprinz Wilhelm traveling from Bremen, Germany.[3]
Death
On August 24, 1913, at the age of 57, Barbara passed away in Mercer County, ND. She is buried in Zaron Cemetery in Beulah, ND.[4][5]
