Research Notes
LNAB
DeMaree is the first name that appears for him in records. This is assuming that the lack of spacing between the preposition and the surname is correct as the name eventually became Demarest. Quackenbush-118 06:07, 6 January 2017 (EST)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel Samuelse by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Samuel Samuelse:
Demarest-292 and Demarest-153 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest paternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge. No tree conflicts. Thanks!
This profile of DesMarets-56 confuses 2 different Samuels: The birth year and place [1693 in Kinderkamack, NJ] reflects Samuel, Jr., son of Samuel (1656-1728) and Maria deRuine (b. 1662), sister of his brother Jean's wife. But the mother listed here is Jacomina (Ruine) Demarest, (ie, his aunt). Jean & Jac. also had a Samuel (b. 1687, last of 11 children), but that profile (Demarest-42) already exists. For the 1693 Samuel, Demarest-153 already exists with correct mother & more info [as does Demarest-292. I would delete this profile.
