HOOD, Elizabeth D. - Age 88, passed away September 4, 1997. She was born in Powell, Wyoming on January 21, 1909. She married Frank M. Hood on April 11, 1932 in Pendleton, Oregon. Frank and Elizabeth moved to Parkdale, Oregon in 1933 where they purchased their firs orchard. In 1973 they moved to Hood River until Linus Oaks in Roseburg, Oregon became her home in 1992. Elizabeth attended the University of Wyoming majoring in pipe organ. Then to UCLA for piano performance. She loved teaching students and was well know for her ability to inspire students to love music. She is survived by her son, Kenneth D. Hood and his wife Elizabeth of Edmonds, Washington and their children, Tina, Hipper-Page, Ana and Carolyn; her daughter, Judith J. Erickson and her husband Ivan, and their three children, Linnea E. Huson, Kirk and Jonathan; nieces Millicent Deming and Diana Deming Cahill, Linda Deming Ratcliff; and nephews, Robert Deming and William Hood. Services will be held at Linus Oaks Chapel on Saturday, September 6, 1997 at 2 p.m. Sherman Hesselgrave officiating and at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Hood River, Oregon on September 13, at 10 a.m., Albert E. Allen officiating.
