Research Notes
1. Birth and Parentage
Direct, primary sources for Anna Elizabeth's date and place of birth have not yet been found, as are those proving her parentage. However, secondary sources are available that speak to her date of birth and/or parentage.
Her age at death, as recorded in her newspaper obit [4] of 76y9m3d calculates back to 4 June 1840, not 22 June - but, who knows if the newspaper had typos in the age, or if it was "correct", where the age came from. So, June 1840 seems solid, but exactly when is up for grabs.
2. Marriage and Children
1860 census: Anna is listed as a "Denean [sic]", indicating that at this point she was married to George. [6]
