  • Fact: http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch Birthdate variations: William Henry Denmon was age 2 on the 1860 census, which was enumerated 30 July 1860, which would have placed his birth in about 1858 -- but he was age 9 on the 1870 census, which would have placed his birth in 1860/1861, which is the time period reported for his birth the rest of his life.

"William Henry 'Bill' Denmon was a Free Will Baptist preacher. He married Hannah Lou Nettie Hollis in 1880. They had 7 children with my grandmother, Lonie, being the third child born. He died at the age of 63 in 1923, so I never had the opportunity to meet him. He died from complications due to an infection of the foot that would not heal. It became infected and the infection spread causing his death. The doctor wanted to amputate his leg, but both he and his wife decided that they would not allow that. He is buried in the Denmon Cemetery on land his father settled on when he came to Jasper CO Texas." (rtexasdancer added this to the Annie Cunningham family tree, FamilyTrees on Ancestry.com)

"From the Southeast Texas Freewill Baptist Association minutes at Friendship Church, Jasper County, Texas on Thursday night before the second Sunday in October 1923. It has pleased an All-Wise Creator to remove from our midst Bro. W. H. Denmon, who was a minister of the Gospel from the 13th day of October, 1905 until his death, who departed this life September 28th, 1923. Bro. Denman leaves a wife and seven children, with a host of friends to mourn their loss. But we trust that our loss is his eternal gain. Bro. Denmon was born July 23, 1860, and died September 28, 1923, age 63 years, 2 months and 5 days." (as posted on Findagrave.com)
