Biography

John was born in 1802. He passed away in 1855.

  • Dr John was the son of John and Martha Embrey Elliott Dennis. John married Adeline Elizabeth Muldrow on February 4, 1829.
  • "Possessed of a vigorous intellect and

penetrating judgement he was sucess- ful in his pursuits. Respected in public for his integrity as a citizen and patriot he was tenderly loved in the family and circle of intimate friends for his special virtues.

A native of Virginia, he long made this state his home. He died suddenly while on a visit to the city of New York. With him sudden death was sudden glory. He had long been a consistent member of the PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH."
