Frances was the daughter of Hugh Dennis and Katherine Trye. She married Thomas I Ligon/Lygon in 1576.

Frances survived Thomas and was buried 30 Jan 1624/5 at Walsgrave-on-Sowe, Warwickshire. She left a will dated 17 Oct 1622, proved 1 June 1625.[1] Thomas and Frances were cousins.[2]
Will dated 17 Oct. 1622; probated 1 June 1625 by her son Thomas. (P.C.C. 70) Her will listed her as a widow and lame in her feet. Her will mentions a son Garratts and his children as well as a son mearly referred to as Lygon. "She "later lived with her son Thomas at Calouden and was buried in the adjacent parish of Sowe."
