Carl Dennis and I have been doing a male Y-DNA study through FamilyTree DNA group Dennis. We now have 29 participates. One of our goals is to help link some of our lines using DNA. WWW.Dennis-TennisonDNA.org
I have been researching the Dennis and Tennison families for 40 years. I have been very fortunate to have had help from some wonderful people. Because of all the collective research, we have traced our line back to the Tennison family of St. Mary’s and Charles County, Maryland beginning in the 1600’s. Much of my researcher is pre computer. As I was the youngest Dennis researcher with small children I became the “Family Collector” from not only our Dennis and Tennison lines but many relating lines: Arnett, Foard, Marcum, Macom, Ruark, Knox, White to name a few. This is back when researchers had to travel to the county seat and read the actual documents. Some research was hand copied because it was expensive to have copies made. I have a two bookcases full of information that is not in a genealogy software program. I would like to share all that I have collected. Hoping to start working on the Dennis ancestry..
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
