Amos was born about 1750 in Haycock Township, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles Dennis and Sarah Morgan. Amos was a wheelwright. He plied his trade in Pennsbury township in Chester from 1770-1780. He then returned and married Jane Heacock 11 mo 30 1780 at the Richland MM. They lived in Rockhill where Jane was born until 1790 when Amos purchased 10 acres in Richland. Amos passed away in 1803.[1]
