Biography

Esther Denison, daughter of Lt. William Denison and Hannah (Tyler) Denison, was born on 23 April 1746 at Stonington, New London Co., Connecticut, USA.^[1] She was the fifth child of Hannah Tyler, the second wife of William Denison.

She married John James on 26 April 1763 at Preston, New London Co., Connecticut. ^[1] They had 11 children, as profiled.

Esther died after 1790 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., West Virginia, and was buried at Cook Cemetery, Parkersburg, Wood Co., West Virginia.^[1] There is a memorial at Riverview Cemetery, Parkersburg Wood County, West Virginia, USA which states that the exact place of burial is unknown. Riverview is also known as Cook Family Cemetery.^[2]
