Biography

Walter Denny b. abt. 1710 m. in PA (?) to Margaret and had at least one

daughter named: Margery b.abt. 1746 in PA m. abt. 1778 first to a Mr. Wilson then 2nd to Robert Lockhart and d. 1837 in VA.

There was a Walter Denny b. 1751 in Lancaster Co., PA m. 1781 to Elizaabeth B. McConnell and d. 1841 in OH Their children were:

Elizabeth b. 1782 Lancaster Co., PA Margery b. 1784 PA Rebecca b. 1786 PA Jane b. 1787 PA John b. 1790 W VA William b. 1794 W VA Margaret b. 1796 W VA Walter b. 1802 W VA[1]

From McQuistons in America. p. 108

there was some discussion of WALTER DENNY in Cumberland Co., PA, who's son-in-law was Robert McQuiston. This is the Walter Denny who m. his cousin Margaret(Margery) Denny, alleged daughter of of Walter Denney of Conowingo Creek. (There was also a Margaret Denney who m. before 1750 to immigrant David Denney. They moved to VA where their son, Robert Denny b. 1753 m. Rachel Thomas.) Walter Denny's Will was probated in 1752 (1752 Vol. 188). His children were listed as:

Ann (who m. Robert McQuiston) John (who m. Margaret (Margery) David[2]
