Harry was born in in the June quarter of 1870[1], and baptised at Harlestone, Northamptonshire, on 12 June 1870. His parents were James Clark (sic) and Emma Dent [2].
In 1871 Harry was living in Harlstone with his parents James C and Emma Dent and siblings Mary E Dent (5) and William F (3) all children were born in Harlestone [3].
In 1881 he was still living in Harlestone with his parents, and siblings Jonathan (7), Sarah (5), Frank (2) and baby Helen. All children were born in Harlestone [4]
In 1891 he was a Groom and Gardner, still living in Harlestone with his parents, and siblings Frank W (12), Ellen F (10), Walter J (7), Emma E (6) and John C (4). All children were born in Northamptonshire [5].
In 1894 Harry married Agnes Augusta Austin [6]
In 1901 Harry 33 was a Groom and Gardner, living with his wife Agnes A Dent, and children Ellen (aged 6), John J (5) Victor G (3) andMary E (1) All children were born Harleston, Northamptonshire [7].
In 1911 Harry was a Domestic Groom, engaged in Estate Work (presumably at Althorpe), still living in Harlestone with his wife, and children John James (15), Mary Elazabeth (sic) (11), Alfred Austin (9), Frank William (6) and Olive Marie (2) all children were born in Harlestone [8].
In World War 1, Harry served in the Northamptonshire Regiment (Private 20763) and the Labour Corps Private 549356) [9]. In about 1917, Harry was in the Northamptonshire Regiment. He was stationed for a time on the East Coast, but never went overseas, due to his age [10]. He was probably, therefore, in the 9th Reserve Batallion, stationed at Clay-next-the-Sea in Norfolk in 1917, moving to Sheringham, Norfolk in mid 1918 [11]
In the 1921 census Harry (age 52), Farm Labourer, was the married head of household at 73, Harlestone, Northamptonshire, England.

Harry died aged 64 in the March quarter of 1934, and his death was registered in the Brixworth district [13].
