In 1860, he was living in White county, Tennessee, USA, with his parents, Hightower, Nancy, his siblings, Cynthia, Elvira, Mary, Thomas, Martin, Joseph, John, his sister, Martha, was living with them as well as her children, John, Francis, Margaret, Martha's husband, Francis is not living with them but maybe had stayed behind in Alabama for some reason as in 1870, they are back in Morgan, Alabama, together[2]

In 1870, he was living in White county, Tennessee, USA with Martin Van Buren Slatten as a farm hand[3]

He married Nancy Anderson on August 02, 1870 in White county, Tennessee, USA[4]

Thomas Denton was born on July 27 1871 in White county, Tennessee, USA

William Denton was born on November 10, 1873 in White county, USA

Joesph Denton was born on October 10, 1879 in White county, Tennessee, USA

In 1880, he was living in White county, Tennessee, USA with his wife, Nancy, their children, Thomas, William Casto, Joseph, Holland was listed as a farmer in the 1880 census

Frank Denton was born on August 2, 1884 in White county, Tennessee, USA

Grover Denton was born on August 2, 1892 in White county, Tennessee, USA

In 1900, he is living in Walling, White county, Tennessee, USA with his wife, Nancy, children, Thomas, Joseph, Frank, Grover, a woman listed as a boarder, Polly Jones, is living with them as well, Holland was listed as a farmer in the 1900 census
