Biography

Rebecca Denton, the daughter of Daniel and Sarah Denton, was baptized at Higham-Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England, on 27 May 1822.[1]

On 6 Dec 1841, Rebecca Denton (Deaton/Deiton), a spinster, and James Carrier were married at Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England. James was a bachelor shoemaker. His father, who was named James, was an agriculturist. Rebecca was the daughter of Daniel Deaton(sp?), a shoemaker. Both James and Rebecca lived in Higham Ferrers.[2] Their marriage was registered in the Wellingborough Registration District during the 3rd Quarter of 1841.[3]

Rebecca Carrier died in 1900 and is buried at the Hope Cemetery, Hornell, Steuben, New York, where she share a grave marker with her husband James.[4] You can see a picture of their marker at FindAGrave.
