The biography for Matthew Depew is empty. What can you add?
-- Once I figure out how to go about doing so... I intend to "help our project as a Wiki Genealogist," as the GEDCOM upload page says. I recently learned my family was MUCH bigger than I originally knew it to be, and I -do- want to see just how far back it goes, and how wide it grew.
Looking forward to doing so without $200+ annual fees! :)

I was looking at your family tree and I'm not sure if the families connect or not. Do you have any family members from Tennessee? I did request to join the facebook page just in case.

Thanks for the invite! I will look at the Depew page on FB... My earliest Depew is Charles, bn 1824 in Ontario, Canada. He is the father of Lucinda who married into my Cohoe family. Are your Depew's in Canada?

I'm afraid I have nothing to contribute to the "Depew vs. DePew" debate. My research connection is through the Schauer/Showers side. Magdalene's aunt Anna (Schauer) Stooks aka Sipes is my wife's 6X great grandmother.
I am not formally a member of the Arborists group, but when I find duplicates in our tree, I like to work at getting them resolved. In this case, spelling aside, these are absolutely profiles of the same person. I have consulted with Merle Showers on this and he will not object to whatever you decide on this issue.
Please settle on what you think is the appropriate spelling here and complete the merge. If you wish to, you can include the alternate spelling under "Other Last Name(s)" and add a discussion of this in the biography.
Thanks & regards, Dave

I see that your question has been answered a few times-that profiles should be set to "Open" privacy, so any WikiGenealogist can edit it. If it is from 1728 and not open, there is a link at the bottom of the page you can click to request it be opened.
And I see someone mentioned gedcom concerns. Eowyn is our gedcom genie, and is great at helping with concerns.
One last thing-G2G is a great place both for information and to ask questions. I recommend checking it out!
