Catharina, recorded as the child of Nicolaas du Pu and Wyntje Rosa, was baptized on 12 November 1710. The baptism was recorded in the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, New York. Witnesses were Joh's Wynkoop and Cornelia Tenbroek.[1] According to her marriage record, she was born in Mormel (Marbletown) in Ulster County. It is likely that the baptism took place in Mormel, performed by a traveling domine from the Kingston church.
Ary Tak and Catrina de Pue were married on 1 February 1730 under the auspices of the Kingston church after registering their marriage banns on 11 January. Both were born in Mormel (Marbletown) and were residing there. It was the first marriage for both.[2] Their son Cornelis Tak was baptized on 10 December 1732. The Kingston church record names his parents as Ary Tak and Catrina de Pue. Witnesses were Isaak Tak and Rachel Tak. [3]
LNAB: The name on her baptism record is du Pu, but no other family members had that spelling. Since the similar name de Pue is the name on the record for her marriage and at least one child, that is a good choice for her LNAB. -Smith-62120 03:52, 16 February 2020 (UTC)

Note: Depuy Tack is not a last name; in fact the Depuy part is her birth name and Tack was the last name of a husband. The LNAB field should include only one last name, not a combination of two or more names.
