In Notes and Queries for Somerset and Dorset there is a reference to Francis Darby of Sherborne, barber and wigmaker, whose age was given as 52 in 1708, under Chancery Proceedings. Inventory of his effects taken March 18 1721/1722 attached to administration bond by his son Francis Derby dated 22 May 1722.
