Jean Baptiste Derouin was born on May 5 1805 at St-Benoit, Mirabel, Quebec, Canada East. [1] Jean Baptiste was the 3rd of 8 known children born to Pascal Duouin and Marie Louise Lisette Labrosse Raymond. [2] [3]

Marriage and Children

Jean Baptiste was married to Esther Robillard on January 28, 1836 in Bytown (Ottawa), Ontario, Canada West. [4] Together they had the following known children: [5]

Describe The Record (Notes) 2 October 1849 baptized Louise Deroin, son of Baptiste Deroin and of Esther Robillard, born the 30th September of their legitimate marriage.

In 1861, "Baptiste Dursien, age 43, and his wife Euslase Dursien, age 35" lived with their children "Baptiste Dursien, 18; Euslase Dursien, age 13; Lucy Dusseau, age 13; Louis Dursien, age 12; Margaret Dusseau, age 9; Joseph Dusseau, age 5, and Eusebb Dusseau, age 3". [Note: The spelling of the surname is indexed as Dursien for the parents as well as children Euslase and Louis. The family members continue on a second page of the census, where the surname is indexed as Dusseau]. They lived in Leslie, Pontiac, Canada East, where Baptiste was a farmer. [7]
