Ignace was the son of Michel Déry and Thérèse Plamondon. He was born 27 March 1846 and baptized 29 April 1846 in St-Raymond, in modern-day Québec. His godparents were Pierre Hamel and Louise Anger.[1]
Ignace was almost two months old when he died 24 May 1846. He was buried the next day in St-Raymond.[2]
