Marie married Cuthbert Grant about 1819.

Cuthbert and Marie had one child, Maria, who married Pascal Breland.

Research Notes

• Not to be confused with Marie McGillis, another wife of Cuthbert Grant.
• In 1820, Cuthbert Grant was involved in a mariage du pays with Marie Desmarais. From this union, a daughter, Maria was born (b. July 15, 1820). (Maria would later marry Pascal Breland, a magistrate for St-Francois-Xavier.) - this note was originally submitted on profile for Grant-1478
