Joseph was the son of Jacques Denoyer and Marie Cheval. He was born 1 Oct 1806 and was baptized the same day in St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu. His godparents were Charles Gravelle and Josette Cheval (signature). [1][2]
On 11 Apr 1831, in St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Joseph Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse adult son of the late Jacques Desnoyers and Marie Cheval married Théodore Fecteau minor daughter of Antoine Fecteau and Angélique Guertin. Several witnesses and signatures, the groom signs: Joseph Denoyer. [3]
Joseph Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse was still living when his son Irénée Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse was married 22 Jan 1884:
On 22 Jan 1884, in St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Irénée Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse adult son of Joseph Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse and Théodore Fecteau married Marie Rose de Lima Desnoyers dite Lajeunesse minor daughter of Jacques Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse and Délima Archambault. Many witnesses sign the register along with the bride and groom, it appears both fathers were among the signatories. [4]
Joseph Desnoyers dit Lajeunesse died before his wife:
Théodore Fecteau, 79 year old widow of Joseph Desnoyers, died 25 Mar 1889. She was buried 2 days later in St-Antoine-sur-Richelieu. Present at the burial were several Desnoyers and Elie Girouard her son in law. Multiple signatures including Elie Girouard. [5]
