The biography for John Despard is empty. What can you add?
Researching my family name of Despard Trying to find a direct link from my great grandfather to Edward Despard his father. Both apparently from King or Queens Counties Ireland.
I have my own website dedicated to the Despard name: www.despard.eu Lots of odd things there including books, films, electrical switches etc all connected to Despards.
Both sides of my family come from Ireland, the other name is Gillis, again from Queens (Laois).
I live in the south west of France and have dual nationality, Irish and British.
Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

The Ireland Project (previously the Irish Roots Project) has now changed its structure into Teams. We require everyone with the Ireland Badge to be a member of at least one Team or Sub-Team and our google group. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Ireland for details. The Teams are :-
? Can you let me know if youd like to stay on in the new project and which team(s) youd like to join. Please also let me know your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the projects Google Group or confirm you are already a member of the google group.
Many thanks,
Maria
If you click on the badge it will take you to the full list of our wonderful members. Click on Irish Roots Project will take you to the first page of the project. I've added your good self to the member interest page. Here you can let others know which counties or names you are researching etc.
To edit the text on the members page just click on edit in the banner heading and add text against your name in the box which looks like a personal profile bio box. Any problems - give me a shout.
Thanks for joining the project and good luck with your research. Maria
The FAQ section on the project page should answer most of your questions about the ONS project.
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
