Elizabeth le Despenser, daughter of Hugh "the Younger," 2nd Lord le Despenser, by his wife Eleanor (Clare),[1] was born about 1327.[2]
Elizabeth married (1) in August 1338, Maurice de Berkeley, 4th Lord Berkeley (son of Thomas & Margaret nee Mortimer[3]), and (2) Maurice Wythe (before May 1372[2]), Knt. of Portbury, Somerset.[4]
With Maurice de Berkeley, she had 4 sons and 3 daughters:[2]

Despenser-53 and Despenser-2 appear to represent the same person because: Hi Robin! These are a match and should be merged. Please use the marriage date (probably contract date) of 1338 (Despenser-2 has August 1368, but Maurice died before then according to "Our Royal, Noble, Titled..." - see sources on Despenser-53; 1338 is given as marriage date, which is more likely the contract date, given their ages). Anyway, please merge. Thanks!

Hi! Just a head's up that I'll be doing a quick edit (checklist for Magna Carta profiles), but don't expect much to change. Cheers, Liz
