Biography

When John Devey was born on April 8, 1798, in Bilston, Staffordshire, England, his father, John Devey, was 28 and his mother, Phoebe Butler, was 33. He married Hannah Butler on October 8, 1821, in Wednesbury, Staffordshire, England. They had five children during their marriage. He died in 1841 in England at the age of 43.
