Biography

When Joseph Devey was born on September 1, 1858, in Walsall, Staffordshire, England, his father, Moses, was 31 and his mother, Emma, was 24. He married Jane Ward in 1887 in Nottinghamshire, England. They had five children in 11 years. He died in January 1943 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, at the age of 84.
