When Ann Maria Devey was born on November 1, 1862, in Wednesbury, Staffordshire, England, her father, Samuel, was 35, and her mother, Ann, was 31. She married George Plester in October 1889 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England. They had six children in 14 years. She died on January 18, 1952, in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, at the age of 89.
