I was not raised in the Deville family, I was given up for adoption at the age of 3 months old.... I've been with the same family since I was 5 months old. Raised only a parish away from my roots, I was raised in Avoyelles Parish.....I was Officially adopted at 3 years old. My mother, Edith Reeves Deville, had Huntington's disease, which led to her inability to properly care for me. My father is Leonard Deville of Deville,LA ....thru DNA testing, it has been confirmed that I am indeed his daughter. I met my sisters when I was 10 years old...and my mother.....who was in a nursing home at this point. When I was 16, I received a call from my father.... we talked every day after that for months - He actually got me interested in ancestry - we discussed ancestry during our daily phone calls - we had plans to meet but unfortunately he passed away 4 days before we were scheduled to meet each other.... I'm really just looking for the history of my ancestors, photos, stories, etc....I want to know it all!
