Biography

Henry C. Dew, Age 27 was a Private in Company E of the 174th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteer Infantry in the War of Rebellion (America's Civil War). He entered the service August 17, 1864 along with his brother James Crabtree Dew Jr. He mustered out with his company on June 28, 1865. He is also listed as having served with the 187th Regiment as a private.
