Biography

Nancy was born in 1829. She was the daughter of William Dew and Katarina Clotfelter.

She married Charles Ferdinand Carman on 9 Jun 1849. [1]

In 1850 she and her husband were living in Illinois. [2]

They had six children between 1850 and 1864.

In 1860 they were living in Iowa. Their first four children were living with them, along with Wiley Dew, Nancy's brother. [3]

In 1870 they were living in Iowa with all six of their children. [4]

In 1880 they were living in Iowa with five children: Marion, Charles, S.D., Ann and Laura. [5]

Their son Charles married in 1881. [6]

In 1885 they were living in Iowa. Four of their children are living with them. Also, Jozie Carman is living with them. She is likely a granddaughter. [7]

Son Stephen married in 1888. [8]

In 1895 they were living in Iowa. Looks like their youngest daughter is living with them. [9]

In 1900 they were in their seventies and living in Iowa. Their youngest daughter, Laura, is living with them. [10]

She passed away in 1905. [11]

Buried in Mount Olive Cemetery, Hamburg, Iowa. [12]

Their daughter Laura married in 1907. [13]

Son Sidney died in 1920. [14]

Their son Charles died in 1929. [15]
