Biography

Lillie was born in 1866. She was the daughter of Charles Dew and Eve Dew. [1]

In 1870 she was 3 and living with parents and older brother in Illinois.[2]

In 1880 she was 13 and living with her father and his second wife in Illinois. [3]

She married twice. First marriage was to (1) Myron Lampton. He was born in 1864. He died in 1899. [1]

They had five children: [1]

  1. Ida Lampton (?-?)
  2. Charles Earl Lampton (1887-1918)
  3. Fred Meridith Lampton (1891-1957)
  4. Pearl E. Lampton (1894-1965)
  5. Ernest L. Lampton (1897-1977)

In 1900 she was a widow living with their four surviving children in Illinois. [4]

Her second marriage was on 27 Apr 1902 to (2) John W. Goben. He was born in 1863. He died 13 Dec 1948. He was son of Hannah and John Goben Sr. [1]

They had three children: [1]

  1. Harold Charles Goben (1902-1946)
  2. Herbert Lee Goben (1907-1928)
  3. Minnie Goben (1905-1990)

In 1910 she was living with second husband, one child from first marriage, and three children from second marriage in Illinois. [5]

Nellie and her first husband Myron Lampton were listed on their son Fred's marriage record in 1913. [6]

Her married name was listed, along with first husband, on their son Charles Earl Lampton's death record from 1918. [7]

In 1920 they were living in Illinois. Three children from second marriage and one adult son from first marriage are living with them. [8]

Lillie and her second husband John Goben were listed on their son Herbert Lee Goben's death record from 1928. [9]

In 1930 they were both living in Illinois. One adult daughter from second marriage is living with them. [10]

In 1940 they were both in their seventies, living in Illinois. [11]

She passed away in 1943. [1][12]

Buried in Kilbourne Cemetery, Kilbourne, Illinois. [13]

Lillie and her second husband were listed on their son Harold C Goben's death record from 1946. [14]
