Notes

Homer Carlos Dewey was a farmer at Reed Corners. His father was Leander Dewey.

From the Geneva Times, Thursday, May 3, 1928: Phelps, May 3-- Homer C. Dewey 78 years old resident of Phelps for twenty five years, died Wednesday morning at the Geneva City Hospital where he was taken for treatment last week He had been in failing health for several months. The deceased was born at North Gage, N. Y. in 1849 and had lived for many years at Canandaigua, previous to which he engaged in farming at Reeds Corners. Surviving relatives are one son, Orson H. Dewey, of Phelps, two brothers and one sister, George W., Seymour and Miss Minnie Dewey all of Poland, NY.
