Clyde Henry Diamond was born on November 22, 1918 in South Carolina, United States, son of Charles Henry Diamond (1874–1953) and Katie Elizabeth Carter (1891–1985).^[1]

In the 1920 census Clyde (age 1) was the son of Charles Diamond in Red Oak, Barnwell, South Carolina.^[2]

In the 1930 census Clyde (age 11) was the son of Charlie Dimond in Creek Street., Norway, Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States.^[3]

In the 1940 census Clyde (age 21), Laborer, was the single son of Charles H Dismond in Augusta, Richmond, Georgia.^[4]

Clyde was in a military record on 16 October 1940.^[5]

In the 1950 census Clyde (age 31), Lineman, was the never married lodger of Addie Lee Miller in Beaufort, Beaufort, South Carolina, United States.^[6]
