Samuel was married (1st) 21 July 1762 to Sarah Trowbridge, and they had 5 children. He married (2nd) 05 August 1774 to Phebe Benedict, and they had 7 children.

He married Sarah Trowbridge 21 July 1762 in Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut Colony.^[2]
