Biography

Mathias was born about 1730. Mathias Dice DIED Between WILL Date 19 MAR 1799 & PROBATED 2 Jul 1799 in Pendleton County, West Virginia.

In this will Mathias appoints his "well beloved wife, Catherine" and son George as his executors and mentions 5 additional sons ..."my youngest sons Mathias and William", Jacob and Phillip, and John, all of whom were left acreage. He also mentions 6 daughters Barbary, Pheobe, Mary, Anna Christine, and Elizabeth, mostly leaving them stock and five pounds. "also to my daughter Catherine, one horse beast and six head of cattle, and six head of sheep, if she gets well. If not, she is to be maintained on the land I now live on if she behaves and to have no cattle, no horse beast, no sheep." "also to my daughter Catherine five pounds, if she gets well."

Dice-9 and Dice-96 appear to represent the same person because: Same guy, see 96 for death info and link to his memorial, here is a tidbit for outsiders... Matthias is pronounced in 3 syllables NOT 2 ;)
