Biography

Matthew was born about 1825 in Scotland, son of John Dick and Mary Watson.[1]

The family was still at Springfield, Campsie Parish, Stirling, Scotland in 1851.[2] John was a ?lanolin or London? proprieter and farmer on about 25 acres. Matthew was working as a yarn merchant.

Matthew married Janet Craig, daughter of William Craig and Miss Kirkwood, 15 Nov 1856, in Campsie, Stirling, Scotland.[3]
